My name is Angelica (Angie) Barquero and I am the founder and owner of Capax Fitness. I am a former Master Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor with over 15 years of experience in the industry. I've taught and trained in private studios, large fitness clubs, brand events, and instructor training workshops. I later broadened my reach by offering online fitness coaching nation-wide.

I started Capax Fitness in an effort to help more people sort through all the conflicting information out there, break through mental roadblocks, and begin living the healthiest version of themselves. After years of struggling with my own weight and an unhealthy relationship with food, I wanted to share my experience and knowledge with as many people as possible. I run CF from the perspective of someone who is in the trenches with you. Despite the fact that I have always been active, it took me years to get control of my health. Not just lose weight - become truly healthy and fit. Throughout my journey I have learned that it comes down to much more than what we eat and how we workout. I had to reach a new level of maturity, acceptance, and self-love before I could reach my goals. I make it part of my training to encourage and inspire you to do the same - understand that there is a psychological aspect to fitness. 

Capax Fitness is not a "one size fits all" diet and exercise program.  What worked for your friend may or may not work for you. My goal is to help you find what works best for YOU and your lifestyle. For Personal Fitness Coaching, I only accept a limited amount of clients to ensure I am able to take a hands-on approach and give each person individualized attention. Through consistent support and personal guidance, I help you learn how to work from the inside-out by identifying your mental roadblocks. Whether you are just beginning your transformation, trying to overcome a plateau, or preparing for an event I encourage you to dig deep to find your sticking point and develop a plan to break free from it. I believe in taking a balanced, realistic approach to ensure you create a lasting impact. My focus is nutrition over deprivation and finding the pleasure in movement.
